These Terms of Use govern your use of the ManualRack browser extension ("ManualRack," "the extension," "we," or "our"). By installing or using ManualRack, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.
1. Description of the Extension
ManualRack is a Firefox browser extension that provides a search interface for locating product manuals, user guides, datasheets, and related technical documentation hosted by third-party websites. ManualRack does not host, store, or distribute any manuals itself.
2. Permitted Use
You may use ManualRack for personal, professional, educational, or commercial purposes. You are permitted to:
- Search for manuals using the extension's search interface
- Open, download, or save PDFs accessed through the extension for your personal or professional use
- Bookmark results within the extension for later reference
3. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use ManualRack to engage in automated scraping, crawling, or high-volume querying of third-party manual repositories in violation of their terms of service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, decompile, or create derivative works of the extension in ways not permitted by its open-source license, if applicable
- Use the extension to facilitate any illegal activity
- Misrepresent the origin or content of manuals accessed through the extension
4. Third-Party Content
ManualRack surfaces links to documents and pages hosted by third parties. We do not control, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, legality, or safety of third-party content. Accessing third-party content through ManualRack is at your own risk.
ManualRack is not affiliated with any manual repository, manufacturer, or brand whose documents appear in search results.
5. Intellectual Property
Product manuals and technical documents accessible through ManualRack are the intellectual property of their respective owners and manufacturers. ManualRack does not grant any rights to reproduce, republish, or redistribute such documents beyond what is permitted by their original copyright holders.
The ManualRack extension software, website, logo, and branding are our property. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
ManualRack is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The extension will be available at all times or without interruption
- Search results will be accurate, complete, or up to date
- Third-party documents accessed through the extension are accurate, current, or free from errors
- The extension is free from bugs, security vulnerabilities, or compatibility issues with all Firefox versions
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ManualRack and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the extension or any content accessed through it.
